However, with recent missile tests of Iran’s new missile system which supposedly can now reach prime target inside of Israel.  This assumed capability or the reality of a capability becoming a reality in the near future has become very real for Israel.  For the crazed leader, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has had the audacity to even come to the US and make comments that the haulocost is a lie, that it is there honor to fight the “Zionist Regime” aka Israel, etc.  No one doubts that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad feels that he must fight his own little battle of words against the west and Israel.

But what should be done?

Should Israel bomb the nuclear facilities in Iran to put Mahmoud Ahmadinejad nuclear intensions years behind schedule?  Or would this just booster the mentality to use such weapons in the future.  For the concept of nuclear war is loss, loss.  For if you fire missiles laden with nuclear warheads, then you can assume the reality that before they even hit there targets there will be nuclear missiles headed your way.  This mentality is what kept the “Cold War” between the US and USSR/Russia from ever turning into a full scale nuclear exchange.  So if modern nations have scene nuclear weapons as a stand off weapon, for self defense then why is Iran building weapons grade nuclear capability?

Is it self defense from Israel, the US and maybe others?  I think the reality comes from what Mahmoud Ahmadinejad believes is best for Iran, or at least intelligent people would hope so.  But what if it’s just to start this war of words with the west?  Why does Mahmoud Ahmadinejad feel it necessary to talk shit where ever he goes about Israel?

I have no doubt that Israel could take these facilities out, like they did in Iraq.  However, the recourse is probably not worth this type of reaction.  So what will Israel do?

This question or should I say the answers to this question will no doubtable be the top issue on Benjamin Netanyahu agenda as he meets with Obama today.

But what about the issues of “Gray.”  Meaning the issues that are not so clearly defined, nor easily agreed upon, “Among them: endorsement of a two-state solution. Obama supports the idea of a Palestinian state alongside a secure Israel. Netanyahu has not endorsed the idea, arguing that Israel needs security guarantees and a clear Palestinian partner for peace talks” (source: cnn.com.)

If I had a list of what they should take about this would be #1 and #2 would be Israel to stop building settlements in the West Bank and Gaza.  For most intelligent people can agree that a two-state solution is needed.  The lines need to be drawn.  Israel needs to look at a map and say this is our land, and this land is the Palestinians.  For until they can agree on borders then the fighting will never stop.  Plus the Palestinians need to take control of their land, people, and most importantly the extremists.  For no matter what the two groups agree if one group can not control their population then fighting will never end.  But this concept has been recently hindered when Israel invaded and bombed the shit out of the Gaza strip.  Now, the Hamas group has not the infrastructure to even lead there own people.  So was it Israel’s intension to slow this potential of a two-state solution?  I’d say yes, I think they figured while Bush was still in office they could “clean” the opposition out.  Kind of ironic or not so ironic that they moved out right before Obama took office, right?

So who will this clear Palestinian partner for peace talks be?  Honestly I have no idea.  Every time the Palestinian’s have some sort of governing body the leaders keep ending up dead.  And in my mind it is no question who is doing the executing….maybe the “Zionist?”

I am not Jewish so I have no bias here, those of you that do my think my opinions are way off, but I ask you this: what is your bias with this issue?

For there is no clear end in sight, but at least now the power has turned here in the US and hopefully this change in mentality may help move this issue into real discussion between the Palestinian People and Israel.  For to make the Middle East a safer place for its civilians to live good lives, then a solutions is needed sooner then later.

Why allow personal beliefs stop peace?  Peace is what the world wants for the Middle East, Peace is what Israel says they want, and the poor Palestinians have been dreaming of it for their entire lives, and its going to take the entire world to back a two-state solution here to make what we all know needs to happen, to happen.

So I thank Obama for his time and efforts into this problem, but we hope that it will not lead to nothing like during the black days of the Bush Administration.
